«The talk provided a few vital statistics about the enigmatic organization. He said that over 1000 people work with Wikileaks, including technologists, cryptographers, journalists, human rights activists, and lawyers. But he said he doesn't know who they are, and wasn't clear who, if anyone, did. It was unclear from Appelbaum's description whether their identities are checked by anyone in Wikileaks. This team, he explained, vets the information given to Wikileaks. The specific process of vetting and how the organization makes choices about what to run and when are still largely unknown.»
Судя по тому как медленно они выкладывают дип.депеши, им там трудно. Афгано-иракские военные сводки выплеснули практически разом - возможно, п.ч. долго и спокойно их готовили к публикации.
Кроме того есть такой момент: они выкладывают какие-то депеши, а потом их снимают. Почему - непонятно. Вот замеченный список исчезнувших депеш (с копиями само собой) - 20 cables vanished from Wikileaks #cablegate website
Можно предположить (домысел), что кто-то из американского ГосДепа ведет с ними переговоры на уровне "пожалуйста, снимите пока это сообщение, нам нужно время замять возможный скандал". Или же с этими депешами что-то не так? На неподготовленный глаз - ничем не отличаются от остальных. Таковые переговоры более чем возможны, п.ч. такие издания как Гардиан или Шпигель безусловно являются вполне системными, т.е. договороспособными.

Между прочим: пока депеши не выложены полностью, можно спекулировать о возможной подтасовке информации (почему про то, а не про это). Что сейчас и происходит. Поэтому сам по себе сомнительно выглядит крайне медленный темп выкладывания инфы. Действительно 25 лет не хватит. Думаю, многие сейчас ожидают ответа на эти вопросы.
