«Adel al-Hadi al-Mishrogi, a prominent businessman who began raising money for the anti-Qaddafi insurgents early in the revolution, is not convinced by the Islamists’ declarations of fealty to democratic principles. He pointed to a well-organized Islamist umbrella group, Etilaf, which he said had pushed aside more secular groupings.

He complains that Etilaf and Mr. Sallabi are the ones who are really running things in Libya now. (...)

“All offices here must make sure that they are headed by an acceptable person within seven days of this notice,” read a leaflet pasted to the doors of offices throughout Tripoli Central Hospital, dated Sept. 3 and signed, simply, Etilaf.

Fathi Ben Issa, a former Etilaf member who became an early representative on the Tripoli council, said he quit his position after learning that the Muslim Brotherhood members who dominate that body wanted to ban theater, cinema and arts like sculpture of the human form. “They were like the Taliban,” he said. “We didn’t get rid of Qaddafi to replace him with such people.” The final straw, he said, came when Etilaf began circulating a proposed fatwa, or decree, to bar women from driving.

Israel was not the only factor at a time of high unemployment and economic stagnation. But a Public Policy Polls survey taken shortly before the election showed a majority of voters said Israel was "very important" in determining how they cast their ballot, and fewer than one in four Jewish voters approved of Obama's handling of Netanyahu.

«The United States said Friday it has warned oil companies operating in North Africa of an al-Qaida terrorist plot possibly using shoulder-launched missiles to fire at their headquarters or planes, and government officials said the U.S. would take an increasingly active role to secure thousands of rocket launchers, mines and small arms from Moammar Gadhafi's once vast arsenal in Libya.

The U.S. Embassy in Algeria received information about the threat and quickly alerted potential targets, the State Department said in a statement. The warning highlights the urgency of the Obama administration's effort to help Libya's opposition government lock up as many weapons as possible to prevent them from fueling an insurgency or falling into the hands of al-Qaida operating across North Africa.

Чтоб добро даром не пропадало

В Сирии по тв транслируют лажу про "катарские декорации", но уже с сирийским сюжетом - типа аль-джазира понастроила в Катаре макеты сирийских городов и учиняет там съемки беспорядков и расстрелов демонстраций.

Уверена, что многие верят - точно как в Ливии было - типа никто Триполи не захватывал и тп (да кстати, в Сирии это до сих пор официальная версия: Триполи никто не захватывал). Людей держат за навоз, но те и ведут себя как навоз без мозга (см. про-кадафи в России и агенство Итар-Тасс) - любое г. готовы схавать.

Светлое будущее на пороге

В Тунисе на 217 мест в парламенте претендуют 108 партий. Подавляющее большинство мелких партий - либерально-демократического толка. Потом все будут жаловаться, что голоса демократов разделились и ушли в песок? :-/

Все же надеюсь, хоть Тунис из всех арабов не просрет свой шанс на нормальное современное общество.

Программа популярной партии исламистов "365 шагов к развитию" включает создание исламских банков с халяльной системой займов. Это такая средневековая система, очень хорошая. При этом они настаивают, что не собираются сокращать свободу женщин, навязывать косынки и тп. Еще они хотят спорт развивать.

Салафиты беспределят в Тунисе

Толпа религиозных фанатиков оккупировала византийскую базилику города Кэф с целью сначала провести там молитву, а затем уничтожить эту полуразрушенную церковь т.к. по их понятиям присутствие базилики на мусульманской земле является святотатственным.

В 17 веке базилику стали использовали как мечеть, но в 1966 году здание реставрировали и сделали охраняемым памятником.

Надо сказать, что в Тунисе сейчас исключительно ослаблена региональная власть. Общественный порядок в обычном понимании поддерживается только в самых крупных городах, в городках же и деревнях делается неизвестно что. Постоянно доходят новости, что там-то и там-то "бородачи" фактически захватили местную власть и занимаются самоуправлением - избивают "неправильных" жителей, сжигают их дома, захватывают мечети и тд.

Что будет, когда их единомышленники начнут переправлять партии оружия из Ливии? Такое соседство даром не пройдет.
