He complains that Etilaf and Mr. Sallabi are the ones who are really running things in Libya now. (...)
“All offices here must make sure that they are headed by an acceptable person within seven days of this notice,” read a leaflet pasted to the doors of offices throughout Tripoli Central Hospital, dated Sept. 3 and signed, simply, Etilaf.

Fathi Ben Issa, a former Etilaf member who became an early representative on the Tripoli council, said he quit his position after learning that the Muslim Brotherhood members who dominate that body wanted to ban theater, cinema and arts like sculpture of the human form. “They were like the Taliban,” he said. “We didn’t get rid of Qaddafi to replace him with such people.” The final straw, he said, came when Etilaf began circulating a proposed fatwa, or decree, to bar women from driving.

Referring to Mr. Sallabi, Mr. Ben Issa, who said he has received death threats since breaking with the Islamists, retorted: “He is just hiding his intentions. He says one thing to the BBC and another to Al Jazeera. If you believe him, then you don’t know the Muslim Brothers.”»
Угу. И генерала Юниса эти гады зарезали. Никто против них слова сказать не может, п.ч. война-то продолжается, а эти голубчики неплохо воюют. Во всяком случае куда успешнее, чем остальные добровольцы.

УПД. Кстати, не удивлюсь, если там дальше выяснится, что самый активный исламисткий элемент находится вовсе не в Бенгази, а в Мисрате. Во всяком случае, именно протесты хорошо организованных бригад из Мисраты заставили НПС заменить первоначального военного комменданта Триполи, бывшего кадафисткого военного, на исламиста.
Бригады из Мисраты сейчас воюют у Сирта. Выглядит это так:
«"We are trying to avoid using the heavy weapons at our disposal," said brigade member Ismael Taneel, 40, a former estate agent who sported a Fidel Castro-style beard and peaked cap bought from an army surplus shop. "Yesterday we thought it would take maybe two or three days, but since then they have sent reinforcements into certain parts of the town. We have to take instructions from our imams on the matter of where we can use the heavy weapons."»
Фидель Кастро тут конечно не при чем. Зато Осама Бен Ладен вполне. Журналист зассал прямо сослаться, а то его оттуда быстренько попросят, пропагандное крыло новой власти активно читает западную прессу :)
