A major conflict has been brewing between some #zawiya "ff" and the #wershiffana tribe in western Libya!
#wershiffana tribe,on the whole, was passive in this conflict but for some reason some fighters from #zawiya keep raiding them!
After the liberation of #tripoli some #zawiya fighters have indeed raided a bank and raided and looted the homes of ppl from #wershiffana
#zawiya fighter invade ppl's private property under the pretence of looking for arms when they know full well there was hardly any!
Last night fighters from #azzawiya decided to raid homes in #wershiffana in the area of Ajlaidat, in sahal Jafara,and kidnapped a woman and two men! This led to #wershiffana taking up arms and man hunting the #zawiya "ff". A massive fire fight ensued!
The #wershiffana mobilized masses managed to release the kidnapped individuals but there was a number of dead and large number of injuries!
I know this because my young brother was a participant in the rescue of the kidnapped individuals!
My brother has said that #wershiffana have had enough with the disgusting behaviour of some of #azzawia "ff" and ppl r starting to ARM!!!
Tonight my brother is still in #Ajlaidat even tho he is from #Azzahraa!He said ppl will not tolerate any more indignation from these bandits

I must make it abundantly clear that the behaviour of #azzawiya fighter has been such since the fall of #tripoli!DISGUSTING TO SAY THE LEAST

ppl in #wershiffana are arming and mobilizing for civil war after having had enough of continuous raids and looting!

It is also confirmed that there are conflicts within #azzawiya itself, namely between Awlaad Saqar and Awlaad 3jeena !
Fighters from #azzawiya have aligned themselves with Misratah and are abusing their authority and are committing thieving crimes from homes!
Yesterday, the fighting was stopped after the good ppl from #zintan came down and negotiated a ceasefire between the warring parties!

According to eye witnesses several thousand ppl from wershiffana were in the process of heading to #azzawiya and "dealing" with them!
It is understood that ppl from #sorman, #ajmail, and al3jailat have all had enough of the tyranny commuted by #azzawia fighters!
wershiffana are also fed up with the fact that certain political factions are trying to unjustly frame them as supporters of Gaddafi
According to my brother, #wershiffana have sent a delegation to Benghazi to explain #azzawiya transgressions and have informed in tripoli air base but no interest was shown by these parties to put a stop to the behaviour of fighters from #azzawiya !
As a result, ppl decided to obtain arms and infighting in the area is not an uncommon occurance!
The area is very tense and up to yesterday, #wershiffana were still holding prisoners from the raiding fighters of #azzawiya
It should be noted that within #azzawiya itself there is friction and tension due to the attitude of those fighters!
Ppl in general in #wershiffana are no longer awaiting a resolution from the #NTC or its commanders due to latter's disinterest!
my brother said as a result of what happened yesterday about 8000 ppl nearly moved on zawiya center had it not been for the peace makers
If anyone from #azzawiya is reading this, I implore you to talk to the fighters there to stop raiding neighboring towns.ppl had enough!!
Zintan did a good job yesterday to cool it down! They really stopped it by talking sense to both parties!

I would rather not talk about a tribe's location but the events took place in #Ajlaida (south of Alhath'a)
the event took place in #wershiffana area which has nothing to do with #Zawiya. It was in Sahl Ejfara!
I can't get much detail on phone maps! The nearest town to it is An-nasiriyah, if north is ur datum then Ajlaida is about 9 to 10 km away at -130 degree
all of #wershiffana areas , incl #aziziya and #an-nasiriya have never been G supporters and were never armed by G!
Yesterday a meeting took place between the elders of #Wershiffana and #Azzawiya under the auspices of the elders of #Zintan
issues of contentions were discussed and the nuisance raids by #Azzawiya thugs have now stopped according to on the spot eyewitnesses !
