Британский премьер заявил, что будет действовать судя по делам, а не по словам Кадафи. Ну еще бы.

Al Arabiya reports that the attack started around 3 hours ago and is still ongoing. They said an “unspecified number of people” had been killed and wounded in the attack.

Revolutionaries in #Misurata managed to stop the biggest attack so far faced by the city since the outbreak of the Revolution
There were around 2000 Pro-Gaddafi Troops, most of them mercenaries. There were also 45 tanks: The rebels have managed to destroy a number of tanks, оthers fled, аnd only two tanks were surrounded in the city of #Misurata unharmed.
currently there are a number of snipers stationed on the buildings and are taking a group of families and children as hostages.

I just hope Gaddafi isn't planning to precipitate some "collateral damage"; it would be very damaging for the NFZ.

Al-Jazeera reports that several loud explosions have been heard outside the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
French media reported 6 to 8 heavy explosions in + around #Tripoli today The cause is unknown
We received info directly #Tripoli which described city as almost completely EMPTY after Friday prayers today
#Misurata: captured Gaddafi SNIPERS were subsaharan African not Libyan. They were professionally equipped and well trained

Беженцы уходили через юг (Куфра). В Мисрате тоже много жертв среди мирного населения из-за тактики предварительных обстрелов (несколько убитых детей).
Есть непроверенные сведения, что кадафисты активизировали репрессии в доступных им регионах - около 1500 произвольно задержанных (исчезнувших).

Files & records are being burned by regime in some parts of Tripoli.
Reports that thousands of documents were burnt today outside the state security building in Tripoli.
Libya TV airing a video of so called Egyptian insurgents confessing they were told to pretend to eat a dead soldier's heart.
LibyaTV showing a video of Ajdabia, gun- and missile shots in all walls. They are claiming rebels burnt the city.
A friend in misratah told me that a lot of soldiers don't want to fight but are forced too.
Reports that at least 93 of Gaddafi's forces killed in Bawabet Adhayba on the Tunisian border.

Какое еще всеобщее вооружение народа? Извините, это не соответствует действительности. Кадафи давно ослабил призывную армию и сколотил для собственной защиты эквивалентную по числу и замечательно оплачиваемую спец.дружину (фактически военнизированную опричину), в которой каждый батальон лично верен одному из его сыновей. Это несколько десятков тысяч бойцов, существенная часть из которых состоит из африканских негров (из южно-ливийских и пограничных африканских племен, в частности Мали). Эти войска тренировали спецы США и Англии.
Интересно, что бы сказали на предложение укомплектовать российский ОМОН из населения кавказских республик? И подчинить его лично Путину или какому-нибудь еще гос.пахану? Напомню, что в Ливии нет конституции - вообще никакой. Только зелененькая книжечка с сентенциями вождя.
Так что хотелось бы пожелать господину Плеханову не усугублять и без того смутное представление о Ливии в головах многих российских граждан.

Date: 2011-03-19 08:44 am (UTC)Это же институт Сатановского, раньше он назывался Институтом изучения Израиля и Ближнего Востока, серьезных специалистов там нет, статьи в основном являются компиляциями того, что пишут зарубежные СМИ. Быстров даже в этих рамках по Ливии не специализируется, компиляции по этой стране пишет другой человек, а узкая специализация Быстрова - не Ливия, а Судан.
